Setting up a Phone Number
Learn about the different ways to connect a phone number to your Casalyx voice agent.
Setting up Telephony
Casalyx offers two ways to connect a phone number to your voice agent:
- Casalyx Numbers (Recommended)
- Bring Your Own Twilio Account
During onboarding, we will help you choose the right setup, connect your number, and make sure everything is working correctly before you go live.
Option 1: Casalyx Numbers
Casalyx Numbers are the easiest option and are fully managed by us.
US Numbers
US numbers can usually be provisioned immediately.
UK Numbers
UK numbers require regulatory approval before they can be activated. This process usually takes 1–3 business days.
For UK numbers, you may need:
- Business address
- Company registration number
- Business website
- Authorised representative details
Once approved, we will connect the number to your voice agent and help you configure any forwarding rules.
Option 2: Bring Your Own Twilio Account
If you already have a Twilio account and would prefer to use your existing number, Casalyx can connect directly to it.
Before onboarding, make sure you have:
- Twilio Account SID
- Twilio Auth Token
- Existing Twilio phone number
- Any extension or routing details you want to use
If you do not already have a Twilio account, you can create one at Twilio and purchase a voice-enabled number.
Call Forwarding
If you already have an existing business number, we can help you set up call forwarding so missed calls, out-of-hours calls, or all incoming calls are routed to your Casalyx voice agent.
You're Ready
Once your number is connected, you can continue setting up your voice agent, calendar availability, lead notifications, and appointment booking.
